    Charles from FL Asked

Most of prices are for 10+. Does under qualify for discount?

    Charles,

    Thanks for your question!

So in the world of Disney pricing, typically 3-9 refers to a "Child" rate, and 10+ refers to an "Adult" rate. Children under 3 are free of charge for park entry, and select dining experiences.

If you are seeing pricing that says 10+, either there is a 3-9 pricing somewhere that you are not seeing, or it is something that is charged for a single price for all ages. But even in that case, you should still see both age ranges posted. For example, in the case of the Disney After Hours event, when you view the pricing for tickets you will see that in that case there is no difference between adult and child pricing. But they both are still shown with the 3-9 and 10+ age range classifications. On that same page you will often see other events that have prices where the child is at a lower rate than the adult pricing.

While child prices are often lower than the adult price for things like park tickets, dinner shows and other entertainment, there is no standard discount percentage that I am aware of. So you will really want to check the pricing for different items to see where the pricing differs.

If you write me back with specifics of what tickets, events, meals or other activities that you are referring to, I would be glad to give you more information on how that pricing may alter for a child as opposed to for an adult.
