Is there a price limit/ or a list to determine if something would be considered a snack on a dining plan at Disney world?

Hi Amy! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Are you getting excited about your upcoming trip? I really love to pre-plan which snacks I'm going to enjoy as a way to cut down on impulse snacking later.

Unfortunately there isn't one list as menu items change all the time. There are of course classic staples like Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bars, soft pretzels, Dole Whips, popcorn, bottled water and so so SO many more, but new items are introduced on what seems like a weekly basis. Some unique offerings are limited time only (Cheeseburger Egg Rolls, anyone?), some change with the seasons, and some sadly leave as new favorites are released and the oldies but goodies fade away in popularity.

Generally most snacks on the Disney Dining Plans range between $2 to $6.49. You'll occasionally find an item that is more expensive, but note that some items that are a snack (like a funnel cake or Dole Whip) have optional additions that then price them off the dining plan. (Like ice cream on top of your funnel cake, or a Dole Whip in a souvenir dish.) Don't fret that snacks are only desserts, treats, or sugary drinks. Check the "Sides" sections of the various Quick-Service menus where you'll find items like fried rice, side salads, cups of soup, fruit, even decked out macaroni and cheese, all for one snack credit.

I'm really happy to report that as of last week in the My Disney Experience App, along with being able to place a mobile order WITH your dining plan entitlements, each restaurant menu now also denotes which items are Dining Plan entitlement eligible! So check out those menus and keep an eye out for the purple and white checkered box, which is the Dining Plan icon.

I hope this helped in your vacation planning, Amy, and We'll See You Real Soon!
