We previously stayed in a Deluxe Rm @ the WL and loved the bedroom with 2 queen beds and separate sitting rm w/ pull-out. What other resorts have this type of rm set-up? We have a 9 y/o boy & 6 y/o girl. Which park should we stay close? Thanks

    Julie:

In addition to those at Wilderness Lodge, I'm only aware of the Deluxe rooms at The Boardwalk Inn.  Like WL, they have two queen beds and then a large living area with a pull-out sofa.  Our family normally has a difficult time finding a single room that can accommodate all six of us, but this room fit the bill for us in October.  The room had ample drawers for clothes and two televisions so the older kids could relax with a sports game in the evening while the little one could watch a Disney cartoon.

We also have a 5-year-old and a 10-year-old in our bunch and they loved the Boardwalk, its games and proximity to Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios by foot.  This location allows you to be within a 5-minute walk to Epcot and a 15-minute walk to DHS or a 20-minute boat ride. It gets my thumbs-up and we're hoping to come back for Star Wars Weekends in May!

FYI: The Dolphin also has one-bedroom suites with a Murphy bed and/or sofa in the parlor attached to a bedroom. They are more affordable than many of the suites at the Deluxe resorts and you get the convenience of the Boardwalk.  We stayed in one in 2003 and fell in love with the property. Be aware, however, that you can't add the Dining Plan to your vacation if you stay here nor have resort package delivery.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
