When preparing for our 7 night Eastern Caribbean Cruise on the Disney Magic, I am clarifying dress code for dinners...it says no shorts but is this the rule for a 4 and 5 year old boy considering they would be "dress" shorts?

    Hi Amanda,

I've sailed on that exact cruise twice, and I loved it...I'm sure you will too!  My son was about the same age as your son is when we first went on our Disney Magic cruise.  Dress shorts for a child that age is perfectly acceptable.  I remember that my son wore all his cute, well matched, short outfits all over the ship.  Ahh, those were the days!  You will have a formal night on your seven night cruise, so I would dress him in slacks for that evening.  Formal night is THE perfect evening to get an "official" family photo because everyone is dressed perfectly and the photographers are out in full force.  I always have my family picture taken on this night.

I hope this helps.  Please let me know if you have any other questions.  Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel.  Bon voyage!
