How precise are the measurements for rides? my daughter just measured 42 1/2" at the dr.s but i am concerned that she will be measured shorter and miss the 42" rides.anything i can do to prevent this?

    Hi Kristin!

What I've found is that cast members will usually pull my son out of the lines to check his height meets the requirement. He'll stand next to the sign, and if there is even the slightest gap, they will turn him away. Much like your daughter, on one of our trips, he had just reached a milestone of 44", but just barely stood tall enough at an attraction at Epcot. A cast member was able to pass a sheet of paper between the top of my son's head and the height requirement post, and that's when he was turned away. This might vary slightly from attraction to attraction, though. For that trip, it was only that one particular ride which he was not able to meet the requirement for. As for your daughter, I believe most attraction height requirements actually are 40" and 44", with a few being shorter and taller than those. I wouldn't necessarily do anything to help her reach the height requirement, because they are in place to assure every guests safety. I give the benefit of the doubt to the cast members on this one. To get a complete list of height requirements for all attractions at Walt Disney World, check here for a pdf on the right hand side of the page. Hope this helps!
