Is it possible to be at WDW for part of both Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party and the change in decorations to Christmas? Thanks!

    Hello Melanie,

The holidays at the end of each year are some of my favorite times to visit Walt Disney World. It is so much fun to see the parks transformed for the fall season and then again into a festive winter wonderland for Christmas and New Years.

The Halloween and fall themed decor will remain up through the last Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party on the 31st. After that, the transformation to the Christmas holiday decorations will happen almost overnight as the first Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party tends to occur within the first week of November. Keep in mind that this mainly happens at Magic Kingdom. Many of the resort decorations may not go up as quickly. I was there this year, at the very beginning of November, and while the Magic Kingdom was decorated for Christmas, many of the resorts had not put up their trees and decor just yet. Epcot also does not tend to be decorated until closer to Thanksgiving since the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival historically continues into the second week of November. With all of this said, it would depend on how long your stay would be between those two months. Please keep in mind that this decorating schedule is subject to vary from year to year.

May you have an amazing time no matter when you decide to travel there.
