Is it possible to reserve(and pay for) a preferred viewing area for illuminations? Like the Wishes Dessert party? I looked into the Fireworks cruise, but my MIL will absolutely not stay on a boat that long:) Thanks for all your enlightening answers!!!

    Hi Susan,

There used to be an "IllumiNations Fireworks Dessert Party" that was available to members of a Grand Gathering (traveling with 8 or more guests in your party). A few years ago those "Grand Gathering Experiences" went away. However, guests can still reserve private parties which have special viewing areas for IllumiNations. If this is something you are interested in, you can contact Disney Catered Events at 321-939-7278. In order to reserve your own private party, you must be staying at a Disney Resort, and there are guest-count minimums for certain party locations. This would work really well for a large family reunion.

If you are visiting Disney World during the holidays, you may want to consider booking the Candlelight Processional Dinner Package. This gives you priority seating at the Candlelight Processional and you'll also have a special VIP viewing area for IllumiNations.

Unfortunately, there really isn't an option for a small group to attend an IllumiNations Dessert Party at this present time. You'll need to stake out a spot ahead of time and wait for the show.

I hope this helps and that you have a wonderful vacation,
