Is it possible to order ala carte items (at table serv. or ctr. serv. meals) for a baby to eat - like just a dish of applesauce, mashed potatoes, mac/cheese, etc.? I'm trying to cut down on how much baby food I have to pack! Thanks - LOVE the panel!!!

Most of the time, yes, you can order individual items, but it depends a bit on the discretion of the individual restaurant. In many table service situations, children under the age of three can eat for free from an adult's plate. This is particularly convenient in a buffet situation, because you can simply get your child as much of whatever you want to feed him/her. At many counter service restaurants, you will have the opportunity to order individual items. Applesauce (a standard kids' meal side dish) and mac & cheese are particularly easy to find. When you're ordering simply tell your server what you'd like and most of the time they will be able to accommodate.

If you'd like to get a sense of the offerings at the WDW restaurants, go to the website allearsnet.com and search on the word "menus." You will be taken to links to the menus for almost every restaurant at WDW. From this, you can figure out which restaurants will have food that is most appealing to you and your child.
