    Lisa from MD Asked

Is it possible if we make dining reservations for 8 people in our family and everyone attends, but someone decides they don’t want to eat anything off the menu? Can they still join us in the restaurant?

Hi Lisa, Thank you so much for visiting us with your wonderful question! It's great that you have started to plan your vacation and we are hEAR to help!

If your family makes a reservation at a restaurant but someone in your party does not feel like eating anything, you will still be allowed to be together, just be sure to inform your server that someone in the party will not be ordering.

During my last vacation, something very similar happened to us at one of the restaurants we dined at. We had an advanced dining reservation for our family but my mom wasn't feeling good enough to eat, so as soon as they led us in, we let our server know that she wouldn't be having anything that day, except for a glass water and they didn't have a problem with that at all. In fact, they were very sweet and our server kept checking in with her to see how she was feeling and even brought her some tea.

Lisa, I am sure you will all be fine and should not worry about it at all. I wish you and your family a fabulous trip!

    See you soon,
    ~Desiree

Hi! I'm Desiree from Lima, Peru. My family will never ever tire of visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth, even if means traveling almost 3,000 miles to do so! My husband and I love to watch the fireworks with our kids, but the best magic happens when the grandparents come along and we all feel the same age in front of Cinderella Castle! I love giving tips about different types of resorts and traveling with multigenerational groups.
