Test Track at Epcot

Is it possible to design a car in Test Track and then opt out of the ride? We're bringing two 5-year old grandsons in April who really want to design a car but I already know they won't like the ride.

    Dear Ken,

Thank you so much for stopping by to visit us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel to ask your terrific question about your upcoming trip with your grandsons!

Yes, you can absolutely bring your grandsons to design their car, and then you can opt out of the ride itself. Also, there is a large showroom and area of interactive experiences that is open to them as well! Since they're so young, you might consider not waiting in the line for Test Track itself, and instead proceeding directly to that interactive showroom. That will save you time and will give them all the fun activities that they are interested in, including sitting in a few brand-new shiny Chevy automobiles! If you do decide to wait in the line, I recommend using a FastPass+ selection so that your wait time will be minimized.

Hope that helps with your magical planning!
