    Welcome aboard, Denise!

Sounds like you have a very magical trip to both the parks and Cruise Line in your future! How exciting!

My personal opinion on whether or not to pay for Disney's transportation to and from the port would be that it is well worth spending the money to let Disney take care of the details.

The day before you sail, you will get a voicemail, or sometimes a letter, in your resort room that will let you know the time and location for meeting up with Disney's transportation to the port the next morning. Most of the time you'll find that they'd like to get your luggage early on, say around 8:00 a.m., and then you'll be instructed to meet around 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. (Your specific time will be listed in your letter or voicemail.)

You can trust that by booking transportation through Disney, they will have you on the ship in due time, you won't need to worry about your luggage, as it will simply arrive in your stateroom on the ship later that day, and all you have to do is show up! Renting a car can be tricky, as you're traveling in unfamiliar surroundings, have to park, deal with your own luggage both ways and if something happens that you don't make it to the port in time, Disney Cruise Line won't know why. In the unlikely event that the Disney transportation wouldn't get you to the port in time, the cruise ship would be aware and would be expecting you.

I like to start my cruises off on a relaxing note, and by letting Disney take care of the details, we always have. As you get off the ship at the end of your cruise, they're waiting again to take care of you as you leave as well. Again, no stress, and that's the best way to end a relaxing cruise.

I hope this helps, Denise! Let me know if I can answer any other questions before you sail!
    Happy cruising!
