Family on Expedition Everest

Is it possible to combine FastPass+ with Rider Switch, such that all three of my kids can ride Expedition Everest with a parent (mom + kid 1 on FP, dad + kid 2 on Rider Switch, dad + kid 3 on FP)?

Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Joseph!

You are certainly welcome to combine FastPass+ with the Rider Switch service. If both Mom and Dad have a FastPass for an attraction, you will both be able to use Rider Switch and the FastPass queue and ensure each of your little Mouseketeers gets to experience the thrill of Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain (as well as any other attractions that offer the Rider Switch service). My suggestion would be to have one parent go through the FastPass line with child #1 while the other parent waits with child #2 and child #3. When it’s time for the other parent to ride, let the attraction attendant know that you’ll want to use the Rider Switch service so they can scan your ticket or MagicBand and then board the attraction with child #2. After that, you can decide which parent will accompany child #3.

Please keep in mind that the Rider Switch service is good for up to three Guests. On attractions where there are only two seats available (such as Expedition Everest or Seven Dwarfs Mine Train), the system I’ve outlined will probably work best for your Party of five. For attractions with three or more seats, you should only need two turns.

If any of your children are over the age of 7, they may ride alone. (My daughter often likes to sit in front of me and my husband. This allows her to feel independent and “grown up,” but allows us to keep an eye on her since we’re just a row behind.) If you plan to use a FastPass with the Rider Switch service, please keep in mind that each child over the age of three should also have their own FastPass in order to enter the FastPass queue. For some of the more thrilling rides, make sure you check the minimum height requirement (posted online and in the Theme Park Guide Maps) before making your selections for the kids.

I hope you and your family get to experience all of the attractions Walt Disney World Resort has in store. Enjoy your visit!
