Is it possible to change resorts once a trip has been paid for?

    Hi Tyler,

Thank you for visiting us today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Is your vacation coming up soon? I hope so, and just in case it is soon, let me try to help you quickly then.

A few years ago, my family and had everything planned to celebrate the Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort, staying for about 5 nights at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. But about two months before arrival, a cousin of mine from Argentina wanted to come with us. I was able to switch my reservation to Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, which has rooms with capacity for up to five Guests. And we were under a Free Dining Plan Special Offer!

You can typically make changes to a Resort Hotel reservation up to a few days before arrival. The only issue you may face is that there may not be availability at the Resort you want to change to, and depending on your reservation, you could be subject to fees. Also, if you took advantage of a Special Offer, availability and dates are restricted.

One last tip: you will need to speak to a Vacation Planning Specialist or your travel agent, to make the necessary changes. And do not forget to modify your Disney's Magical Express reservations too. Happy planning!
