If we get into Port Canaveral at 7:30 a.m. - what time approx. would we arrive at CSR? I'm wondering if I should make this a parks day or just plan to hang out at DTD and the resort? Only have 4 days at the World...but want to be realistic :-)

Hi Mindy! How exciting you will be enjoying both a Disney Cruise and also visiting Walt Disney World during your upcoming vacation!  We have visited Walt DIsney World twice following our Disney Cruise and have found that we preferred a relaxing day at the resort and Downtown Disney on our arrival day. Based on my own personal experience, we have always been pretty exhausted from staying up late on the last evening of our cruise and then the early wake-up call on the morning of debarkation.  After enjoying one last breakfast, purchasing any last minute photos, and then retrieving our luggage, we traditionally get to our car at approximately 8:45 a.m. Although we have always driven to Walt DIsney World following the cruise, the drive itself has always taken us approximately one hour from Port Canaveral to our Walt Disney World Resort. The earliest we have arrived at our Walt Disney World Resort when driving was 10:00 a.m. As a mom of four children, I can tell you from firsthand experience that my children ranging in age from seven to fifteen, have always slept from the time we got on the road until we arrived at the resort. I honestly think you would feel less rushed and more rested if you give yourself one day before hitting the parks. I hope this information helps in making your decision. Please don't hesitate to write me back with any additional questions. Best wishes for a magical vacation, Mindy!
