    Lauren from NJ Asked

Are the pools heated on the Magic?

Welcome aboard, Lauren! Thinking about Disney Cruise Line's pools makes me wish I were out at sea on the Magic right now!

My kids are big swimmers and would jump in no matter what the temperature while their chicken of a mom sits on the side shivering in a sweatshirt when it's chilly at our swim club back home! But, what I love about Disney Cruise Line's pools is that they are heated if the temperature drops below 75 degrees. So, whether you're sailing on the Magic in Northern Europe or the Wonder through the fjords of Alaska, the water temperature is always pleasant.

We've been out at sea in the Caribbean when it's been a particularly chilly and windy day, and I've felt great about letting the kids swim, and have joined them in the water myself, as the water temperatures are pretty comfortable!

The Disney Magic is my favorite of Disney's ships, and the pool deck is especially exciting with Goofy's Pool for the whole family, the AquaLab for lots of pop jets and geysers creating bubbly, splashy fun, and of course, for us adults, the Quiet Cove Pool. Two slides make for even more excitement on the Magic. We all love the Twist and Spout which loops all around sending us splashing to the bottom, and for adventure lovers, the AquaDunk is thrilling! I've ridden it over and over, and still get a bit nervous when that capsule closes and Donald's nephews count down: 3, 2, 1, the trap door opens, then I'm plunged into an exciting ride that even stretches out over the side of the ship. I'll warn you that the water in the AquaDunk is much chillier than the pools! But, it's worth braving it!

Have fun planning your magical cruise, Lauren!
