We will be at the Polynesian villas 11/21-11/28. One of the days we're taking a shuttle to the Kennedy Space Center around 7:45 AM. They pick up Disney guests at the All Star or Swan. How can we make our way over there that early on Disney transp? Thank

    Hi Megan!

A day trip to Kennedy Space Center is a great idea! We were able to take our sons to view one of the very last shuttle launches and it was definitely something to remember. After the launch we very much enjoyed touring the Kennedy Space Center and taking in the exhibits.

As far as I know, there is no reliable way to use Disney transportation to get from Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort to either the Walt Disney World Swan or the Disney All Star Resorts that early in the morning. Later in the day it would be possible, but a rather long journey. I also checked with several other Moms Panelists in case they had an alternate idea. We all agree however, that the only way to get to one of those locations that early in the morning would be to use a taxi or car service.

Several friends have used a service called Uber. You can download the App to your phone and use it to request a ride. My coworker just used this all over Hawaii and loved it. My understanding is that it is very affordable and the first ride is free! Another one of our Disney Moms Panelists recommends using Mears Private Car Service. She often takes school groups and has used this service for early morning transportation and had a good experience. If you choose to use a standard taxi service, the valet desk at your resort can call a cab for you when needed.

I hope this information is helpful, Megan. While I’m sorry that Disney transportation might not work out, I hope we have offered you some good alternatives.

    Have a Magical Day!
