What is the policy for backpacks within the parks? Are wheelchairs available?

    Hello, Ann!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We are delighted to answer your question regarding your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation!

I am very happy to inform you that you most certainly CAN bring backpacks into the Disney Theme Parks. When you arrive at a Disney Theme Park, you will have to go through a backpack search. Depending on the crowds, the search does not take very long. In fact, at the Magic Kingdom, the check stations are spread out instead of having one central check point like years past. This made entering the park so much faster! Of course, this important safety measure is enforced to keep all guests safe during their time in the Disney Theme Parks.

I am also excited to tell you that you CAN rent wheelchairs at any of the Disney Theme Parks! If you are visiting the Disney Theme Parks on multiple days, you can prepay for your length of stay to save time AND money! You can do this by prepaying and renting the wheelchair at the first Disney Theme Park you visit!

If you have other questions, please let us know! We are here to help in any way!

    Have a MAGICAL day!
