plz explain the differences in Photo pass vs Memory Maker. Next trip 3 adults all flying in to meet. One has ride pics-other does not Cost, preorder? Also:. FP parade viewing, new to me-worth it? we are staying at AKV & meeting up friends-at Fort Wilde

    Hi Denise!

I have purchased Memory Maker on my last several Walt Disney World vacations and I have to say I absolutely love it! If you will be on property for a few days and really want to preserve some great vacation memories, then it really is something to consider.

Currently, PhotoPass is the term that refers to the photography service that Disney offers whereby you can have your photo taken by PhotoPass Photographers, as well as on select attractions and dining locations. All of these photos can be put on your PhotoPass account. From there, you have the option to purchase either individual physical prints of your photos, or individual digital downloads of your PhotoPass photos.

In the past, you could pre-purchase all of your photos in what was called PhotoPass or PhotoPass+. That pre-purchase package that includes all of your photos is now known as Memory Maker.  So to simplify that, currently PhotoPass is just the taking and storage of your photos, Memory Maker is the product that allows you to purchase all of your photos as a package. If you are interested in Memory Maker, you should absolutely pre-order it at least three days before your first photo will be taken, as there is currently a discount for pre-purchase.

For your second question, I have not personally used a FastPass+ selection to view the parade. If parades are your thing, I say go for it! If you don’t mind staking out a spot early, I personally prefer to save my FastPass+ selections for other popular attractions. This is one of those choices where I think you can’t go wrong either way!

Thanks for stopping back to see us, Denise!
