Hi. Can you please tell me if there is only one entrance to Animal Kingdom. We are trying to arrange our plans for the day and am not sure where to start.

    Hi Adria,

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel. You will find that there is one way into Animal Kingdom, entering from the parking lot/bus area. In fact, only Epcot has more than one entrance, the main entrance from the parking lot and the International Gateway entrance into the World Showcase. All the others have a single main gate.

Animal Kingdom park unfolds in front of you from the entrance essentially in a circle. So you can choose to move across Discovery Island to Africa then Asia and DinoLand U.S.A. or do it in reverse. Or you can move around the different areas in no particular order. The park's size makes that easily doable.

My family usually starts our Animal Kingdom days in Africa with Kilimanjaro Safaris, then moves to Expedition Everest. From there, we tend to mix up the lands based on our mood (and on what FastPass+ reservations we've made). There are so may don't miss shows at Animal Kingdom, including Festival of the Lion King and Finding Nemo: The Musical.

If you are staying into the evening, I highly recommend Expedition Everest at night. And you won't want to miss the Tree of Life Awakenings and Rivers of Light.

I hope that's helpful, Adria. Please check back with us if we can answer any other questions for you or make dining recommendations for your day at Animal Kingdom.

    Enjoy,

    Wilma
