please explain the tiered ride fast pass system, i know have popular rides to only pick one unless tier 2 and so on.

    Hi Kimberlyn!

Understanding and reserving your Fastpasses for your upcoming vacation is a very important part of the planning process. You want to make the most of your time in the parks and not be waiting in lines all day. Resort guests may reserve up to 60 days in advance so if that is you, get ready to go.

Three of the four parks have a tiered system for Fastpasses. This means they have grouped a few attractions in tier one and the rest in tier two. When heading to one of those parks you may reserve a FastPass from ONE of the attractions listed in tier 1. You may reserve the other two Fastpasses from tier two. Each guest may start each park day with three Fastpass selections and then may select more after the last has been used.

The Animal Kingdom has two attractions in Tier 1 and those are the new Na'vi River ride and the other is the Flights of Passage. Both are very popular right now so you'll have to decide which one to use as your Tier 1 Fastpass. Then you can select two more attractions from the rest of the park. Many enjoy the Safari and Expedition Everest but there are many more that are not to be missed. Try to research which attractions are good for Standby without huge waits and take advantage of that as well.

Epcot is also a tiered system and that is the hardest park to make a decision about which to choose from Tier 1. You will find Test Track, Soarin, and Frozen all in the top tier and you can only choose one for a Fastpass. With my family we sometimes have to split up as their choices are different.

Hollywood Studios is the last park with the tiered system. The biggest decision here is usually between Rock n Roller Coaster and Toy Story.

I hope this helps you with the understanding....one attraction from Tier 1 and two attractions from tier 2 when you go to a tiered park to select your initial Fastpasses!
