Can you please explain how to use rider swap? If we are using a fast pass do both adults need one? How does it work with all larger group?

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jeffrey!

Sometimes, the reality of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation is that not everyone can (or wants) to ride the same attractions. Luckily, the Rider Switch Service is available at many attractions throughout Walt Disney World Theme Parks to help keep families and friends together. To begin, if you are planning to use the FastPass+ service, then all members who are experiencing the attraction will need to have FastPass+ reservations. In order to use the service, approach the greeting Cast Member with your whole party (group size does not matter). At least one adult member of your party and the Guests who are not riding will be given a Ride Switch pass and asked to wait outside of the attraction. We will refer to this group as “Party 2.” “Party 1” will then ride the attraction and will locate “Party 2” afterward to give the Rider Switch pass to the adult member who will be riding. “Party 1” will then take over supervision of those who are not riding. “Party 2” presents the Rider Switch Pass and enters the attraction without having to wait in the queue a second time.

There are many attractions that offer the Rider Switch Service, and it was a great help to our family when our youngest was too small to ride Soarin’, but it was my eldest daughter’s favorite attraction! You can find a detailed list of attractions that offer this service as well as more information directly from the Mouse’s mouth on the Walt Disney World Resort website.

I hope you and your family have a magical vacation and please visit us again soon!
