Please explain what the dining plan is and how it works. We will be traveling in January 2012 with a 6 and 7 year old one is a VERY picky eater and the other will eat almost anything.

The Disney Dining Plan is an option that can be added to Magic Your Way vacation packages, Freda.  It offers both convenience and savings when it comes to dining at Walt Disney World restaurants.  There are various packages available, some that include only counter-service plan credits all the way up to the deluxe plan which offers three meals (counter or table service) per person per night of your stay.  Meal credits are added to your Key to the World card (room key) at check-in along with your park tickets.  Credits are deducted at the close of your meal.  You'll be given a receipt with a tally of remaining credits listed at the bottom.  There are over 100 participating restaurants so finding something to suit even the choosiest eaters shouldn't be a problem!  You can read all about the various dining plan options HERE.  Bon Appetit!
