    Hillary from VA Asked

Are there playgrounds at any of the hotels? Or indoor climbing play spaces? We have a 2 and 4 year old and even with all of the excitement, it will help to have space to run!

    Hello Hillary,

I am so glad you stopped by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. With little ones in tow, it is always a great idea to be well prepared for those unexpected moments. Having traveled with my three kids on many occasions to Walt Disney World, I can appreciate your inquiry on areas where your children can burn off some energy.

I am pleased to tell you that you are in luck. There are playground areas at many of the Walt Disney World Resort hotels. Most of them are adjacent to the main pool area, but to find the exact locations at the resorts, be sure to consult a resort map or ask a cast member at guest services. Many of them are themed to the resort's atmosphere but are similar in structure to the playgrounds you might find at your local parks. Please remember to adhere to safety instructions and adult supervision is required.

There are also a few play areas within Magic Kingdom and Disney's Animal Kingdom that are also great for those kids that need to have a little run and play time while you rest your tired feet. In Magic Kingdom at Dumbo the Flying Elephant attraction, there is a circus themed indoor play area. You can play here while you wait for the attraction (as opposed to a long winding queue). Over at Disney's Animal Kingdom, The Boneyard is one of my boys' favorites spaces. There are slides and climbing structures, as well as a giant dig site. The entire structure is fenced in with only one entrance/exit space for safety. My kids could spend hours in there if we let them.

I hope you have a magical visit and feel free to stop back if you have more questions.
