I have the platinum annual pass and I'm planning to upgrade to the platinum plus pass when mine expires in december. Can you upgrade within the 30 day renewal period or do you have to upgrade 60 days before your pass expires.

Hey there, hi there, ho there, Kayla! Thank you so much for popping in to see us again. It's always a pleasure when our friends come by to chat!

If you ask me, there's only one thing better than Walt Disney World - and that's even more Walt Disney World! We Annual Passholders enjoy lots of perks, and your decision to upgrade will let you experience even more magic for another year.

The absolute easiest way to upgrade your Annual Pass is to do so during your renewal period, which is up to 60 days before and 30 days after your expiration date. If you choose to upgrade during that window, you have a few options. You can upgrade in person at a Guest Relations location at Walt Disney World; call the Annual Passholders phone number; or complete your renewal online and simply select the Platinum Plus level for your new pass. If you want to upgrade before your renewal window opens (more than 60 days before the expiration date), you'll need to visit Guest Relations and complete the upgrade in person.

Kayla, now more than ever is the perfect time to plan another year of adventure at the Walt Disney World Resort! There are so many new things coming in 2019 and beyond, from the Disney Skyliner system, to a brand new Resort hotel, a new nighttime spectacular on the horizon at Epcot, and of course Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. And you'll be able to see it all with your Platinum Plus Annual Pass!

I hope this helps you plan many more Disney days to come, Kayla. Please come see us again real soon!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
