We have plans to visit Disney in Oct 2016, with 10 Adults, and 2 kids (my 6yo daughter, and 8yo nephew) While we are so excited about giving the kids(and us)the best first trip, we were also looking into nightlife (a girls night, and boys night) any ideas?

    Andrea:

There's no guilt in making some time for yourselves on the trip. And I can't think of a place that has more variety than Walt Disney World for the whole crew.

For a fun Girls Night Out, I recommend that you look at grabbing dinner or at least appetizers at Raglan Road and sit back to enjoy the Irish Dancers. Make sure to reserve a table through Disney Dining ahead of time and when you arrive, ask for a table in the main dining room. Afterward, stroll Downtown Disney to enjoy its shopping district, take a boat ride down the Sassagoula River and grab a hot chocolate at Ghirardelli before heading back to your resort.

Splitsville at Downtown Disney will provide an evening of bowling and laughter for the guys, even if it's not their top sport. Pool tables and large booths invite you in for more than just a game. Make sure to keep your eye on another part of the resort, ESPN's Wide World of Sports Complex, for an updated schedule of events that may coincide with your trip. There may be a sporting event that the guys would enjoy.

If either group is musically inclined, a night at Jellyrolls piano bar after an evening on the Boardwalk packs some fun. Plus, you'll find a few shopping venues on the bottom floor of the Boardwalk Inn.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
