Walt Disney World Halloween

Are there any plans to schedule the Return to Sleepy Hollow event at Fort Wilderness prior to Halloween this year?

    Hi Wayne!

It sounds like you are planning a fall vacation to Walt Disney World Resort, which is my favorite time of year to visit the theme parks! I love the Halloween decorations, theming and atmosphere throughout the theme parks, Disney Resort hotels and Disney Springs. Plus, autumn brings Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, which are my favorite special events at Walt Disney World Resort!

In previous years, Guests have been able to enjoy a close-up encounter with the Headless Horseman at "Return To Sleepy Hollow" at  Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. We haven't gotten any information about the return of this special event for Guests to enjoy this year and it's not currently available for Guests to reserve. Keep in mind that special events do change from year to year, so I recommend that you follow the Disney Parks Blog for the latest announcements about the Halloween special events you will be able to enjoy during your vacation!

Even if "Return To Sleepy Hollow" won't be on your vacation itinerary this year, you will still be able to see the Headless Horseman during your visit. If the weather permits, Guests can see the Headless Horseman ride through Magic Kingdom right before Mickey's 'Boo To You' Halloween Parade during Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Not only is this my favorite parade at Walt Disney World Resort, but the Headless Horseman is definitely one of my favorite parts. Seeing him ride down Main Street, U.S.A. or Liberty Square is an unforgettable sight (and sound)!

Come back to see us if we can help you again as you continue making your vacation plans. T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
