We are planning a trip(grandparents & 4 yr old & 15 mo old)first week of Dec. What days should we go to Magic Kingdom, Epcot & HS to benefit all the attractions, shows etc? Would u suggest park hopper tickets with young children or just single?

    Hi Jerri!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel.

The first week of December is a great time to visit Walt Disney World.  The parks and resorts will be beautifully decorated for the holidays, the weather will be cool, and the crowds won't be that heavy.  Since the crowds will be about medium, you really don't need to plan what park you will visit on which day based on the crowds. Thus I would suggest something like the following:
    • Epcot
    • Magic Kingdom
    • Disney's Hollywood Studios
    • Disney's Animal Kingdom
    • Magic Kingdom

You will definitely want to spend at least 2 days in the Magic Kingdom with young children.  I suggest going to Epcot first because a lot of children don't appreciate that park, especially the World Showcase portion of the park.  I think it is easier for them to go from Epcot to the Magic Kingdom as opposed to the other way around.

I suggest not getting the Park Hopper option if you are not sure you need it.  Park Hopping takes time and energy and with young children you probably will be happy just staying in one park until it closes for the day.  All of the parks at Walt Disney World are very large and one can easily spend an entire day or more at each.

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
