Planning a week the last of Sept '15, anticipating free dining. Can we go ahead and make our ADR's once the 180 day window opens up, or will we have to wait until we book our pkg? Will those be linked once we reserve, and what about the credit card holds?

Greetings Jennifer and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

You should begin making your dining reservations as soon as the 180 day window opens. One of the great things about My Disney Experience is the capacity to link all reservations and keep the vast majority of your plans in one place. For example, I have not yet booked my family's resort for our trip this summer, but all of my dining reservations have been made and I can see them in My Disney Experience. Once I book my Resort, it will appear in My Disney Experience as will my Memory Maker and FastPass+ selections. You can even download the My Disney Experience Mobile App and have all your plans in the palm of your hand.

As for credit card holds, all Table Service locations require a credit card hold to ensure people keep their reservations or cancel them in a timely manner. Nothing will be charged to the credit card unless you do not keep your reservation or cancel at least 24 hours in advance. However, a few dining locations actually require prepayment. Currently these include Cinderella's Royal Table, Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue, Disney's Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show, and Mickey's Backyard BBQ.

    Happy Planning!

Meet the Panelist: Anne, Iowa

I’m Anne, a native Iowan, wife, mother, and grandmother. For me, a major part of the fun of a Disney trip is the planning. I have traveled to the Disney Parks in multiple stages of my life, including as a daughter, sister, aunt, mother and grandmother. While I can’t pick my funniest Disney memory – either my 70-year-old mother on The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror or my 4-year-old grandson on Dinosaur – I am thrilled to be able to help other Disney guests plan their adventures.
