Planning a WDW vacation 2018 with 4 girls (7,7,8,11) and a newborn (due Nov 2017). We plan on staying at AOA and only attending MK and EC. Hubby and I are wanting to do everything right! Where should we start? Plan on staying 5 days max. Driving from NC.

    Hi Kristen,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We certainly need to help you plan a perfectly magical vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort! I am happy to greet a fellow North Carolinian.

It sounds like you plan to stay at Disney's Art of Animation Resort in a family suite. Since they sleep up to six adults, I think a suite would be great for your family. With a newborn along, it will also be nice to have a kitchenette.

First, you need to book a vacation package. I suggest booking a package with room, theme park tickets and a Dining Plan. Our family has found the dining plans to be a great value because food can be expensive in the parks. Having a dining plan also saves valuable time since we can eat on property.

Second, once you have a resort hotel confirmation number, create a My Disney Experience Account. Once you create a My Disney Experience Account, link your resort hotel confirmation number to that account. After your resort hotel confirmation number is linked, you can start managing your plans!

Third, at 180 days prior to your trip, start making Dining Reservations. Character meals fill quickly, especially for popular restaurants like Be Our Guest and Cinderella's Royal Table.

Fourth, at 60 days prior to your trip, make Fast Pass+ selections. With Fast Pass+, you can reserve ride times for up to three rides per day at a single park. At Magic Kingdom, we always do Fast Pass+ for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Space Mountain.

Kristen, I am so excited for you as plans begin for your trip!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
