Planning our 1st WDW vacation with our will be almost 4 year old son. He is 40 inches tall already so my question is when the rides say "mild but wild rides" and yet "fun for everyone" in the same part how scary are these?

    Hi Kimberly!

The "mild but wild rides" that are "fun for everyone" are some of my son's favorites!  He is 4 years old and 41 inches, so he fits right into the category as your son.  Any ride that has dark parts is in this category, like Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean, which can be scary for young kids.  My son goes through phases with these where one day he will be all about them and want to ride over and over and the next month he will not go on them at all.  The coasters are also under this category because of the thrilling speed and drops.  If your son has a fear of the dark, I would not suggest going on the attractions that have a lot of dark sections, which also includes Stitch's Great Escape.  You can ask a Cast Member at each attraction about the scary level for your son and then decide if it's something you want to try.  I always tell my son that if he is afraid of anything, to squeeze my hand and close his eyes.

    Have a magical day!
