Hi, planning a WDW trip in 2017. My son has Autism and will be 15 then. When is the best time to go for lower crowds and Not as Hot. The week of March 5-10th or April 30-May 5th. the March week is the week before all the school Spring Breaks. Thank You

    Hi Jennifer,

Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. Beginning to plan your trip for 2017 now is a great idea. Having advance planning done can make for a much smoother vacation when you are at Walt Disney World.

Based on your criteria of cooler weather and smaller crowds, I am going to suggest that you choose the week in March. On average, March is a cooler month than April or May in Florida. Also, I know that you are concerned about Spring Break crowds; however, I think that the Spring Break peak will probably be later in 2017. Easter is on April 16, 2017, so I think most schools will have Spring Break near to mid-April. The beginning of March may see the beginning of college and university Spring Breaks; however, my guess it that early March will be the less crowded of your possible weeks.

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Jennifer! Have a great time planning your vacation, and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
