we are planning our WDW trip for 4/12/2010 for 7 nights with our two DD's who will be under 3. OUr travel agent is recommending the Wilderness Lodge because of convenince to MK but I dont see anyone on here recommending it..is it a good choice?? thanks!

The Wilderness Lodge is indeed a wonderful and beautiful resort at Walt Disney World.  The biggest drawback for it is its location as it is close to the Magic Kingdom but it is not on the monorail system like the Polynesian, Grand Floridian, and the Contemporary resorts.  Being on the monorails makes getting to two of the four parks very easy and only busses are needed to get to the other two.

The Wilderness Lodge does have water taxis to the Magic Kingdom so that makes it fun to get to this park in a different way besides a bus.  The amenities are equal to many of the other resorts.  Click HERE to see a nice comparison between three of the deluxe resorts. You will see that the biggest difference is the price and the Wilderness Lodge is the best deal for a deluxe resort.  You give up the convenience of being on the monorail system for a less expensive room.
