Planning a 1st WDW trip! We'll have ADR for character and 1 or 2 table service. How long is the wait for a counter service? Any that you recommend for 5 and 9 y.o. girls who are picky? We'll be going in August and prob. not doing the dining plan. Thanks

    Hi Gena,

The counter service restaurants can be busy, so I recommend going at an off-peak time. Since my family wakes up early, we usually end up eating lunch early - around 11 or 11:30. The restaurants are typically less crowded at that time. Even when they are crowded, the lines do move pretty quickly.

Here are a few great counter service restaurants for picky kids:

    • Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe at the Magic Kingdom
    • Sunshine Seasons in the Land at Epcot
    • Flame Tree BBQ at Animal Kingdom
    • Studio Catering Company at Disney's Hollywood Studios

I hope that helps! Have a great vacation!
