We are planning on going to Walt Disney, December 17,18,19,20. Does anyone know where we can get discount tickets. We have 5 kids (between the ages of 19 -13) and us 2 Adults totaling a group of 7 and just for the Tickets its costing a lot ?

    Hi, Michelle!

You may find a small discount if you purchase your tickets before leaving home through your local AAA office.  Their tickets might be a bit cheaper, check with them. I have purchased through the online site UndercoverTourist.com with great success, but make sure to allow plenty of time for delivery.

The tickets are a huge portion of your trip cost, there is just no way of getting around that.  However, look at other ways to save some money on your vacation:

-Book a Standard Room at a Value Resort.  Get 2 rooms, and request connecting doors.  These will be your most economical rooms on property. My favorite Value Resort is Pop Century.  You might even get a good rate if you book through Special Offers

-Before buying your park tickets, check that link above for booking an entire package with room/tickets/dining.  There is Free Dining being offered during your travel dates, this might be a huge savings for you.  (You need to include your park tickets to qualify for the free dining.)

-Set limits on spending.  Plan for meal times, souvenir budgets, and snacks so you do not over-spend.

-Bring snacks into the parks.  This includes water bottles, crackers, chips, even sandwiches if you like!  Just remember no large coolers permitted, so bring items that will fit into your tote bag or backpack.

-If you are flying to Orlando, skip a rental car and use Disney's Magical Express to get to and from the airport.  Leave the driving to Disney!

I hope this helps.  Check that link for Special Offers, and with Free Dining, your vacation may be more affordable than you think!  Good luck.
