Hi. We are planning on visiting at the end of Oct. We want to take the kids to see the Illumination show at Epcot, but we heard they might be ending it. Do you know when it will end and will they still have a nighttime show/ffirework show? Thanks!

    Hi Richard,

I'm so excited to hear that your family will be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort this October! With the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, and generally mild weather and crowd sizes, it's a great time to visit!

After enjoying all of the fun attractions, delicious dining options, entertaining shows, and immersive cultural experiences that Epcot has to offer, IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth is a magical way to end your day! There have been no official announcements that this show will be ending, and it's currently listed daily on the calendar, so you should be able to plan on enjoying this show with your Mouseketeers. Of course, all show times are always subject to change, but for the best viewing opportunities, I'd plan on finding a waterfront spot along the World Showcase Lagoon between 30-60 minutes beforehand. Or did you know that you may use a FastPass+ selection to have a spot saved for you along Showcase Plaza?

Along with IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth, another Epcot nighttime family favorite of ours is to check out the twinkling sidewalks in the heart of Future World on our way out for the evening. The ground comes to life with the magic of glowing lights that you can't feel, but you can see. My kids find them mesmerizing and love dancing around with them!

Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Richard, and please let us know if you have any other questions as you're planning your trip. I hope that you and your family have a truly magical vacation!
