Hi, I am planning on visiting Disneyland in Jan 2018. I can't decide if I should go on My Birthday which is Jan. 4th.. would you suggest going for 3,4,and 5 th Jan. Or should we wait for the MLK day weekend for the crowd to be lighter?(13,14,15 Jan)

    Dear Naveen,
Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
I am very excited to learn about your upcoming trip to my favorite place in the world, the Disneyland Resort!
You present a difficult question in that both date options you're considering have several things you should factor in, before making your final decision.
If you arrive the first week of January, you'll be able to enjoy the Magic of Holidays at the Disneyland Resort!
The giant 60-foot Christmas tree will still be adorning Main Street, U.S.A.
You'll be able to enjoy "it's a small world" Holiday, which is a unique holiday-themed variation of the classic attraction. And the Haunted Mansion will still have its incredible holiday overlay as Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas Haunted Mansion Holiday.
There will be special holiday treats and goodies being sold throughout the Parks like the Mickey Gingerbread Candy Apples and delicious holiday menus at different Disneyland Resort restaurants.
Holidays at the Disneyland Resort end on January 7, which means people will likely want to visit the Parks before the festivities end.
On the other hand, if you visit January 13-15, you may miss Haunted Mansion and "it's a small world" since the attractions are generally closed off after the Holiday period in order to be returned to their original set-up.
By that same token, you will probably experience fewer crowds and shorter queues for other popular attractions during that time.
Keep on mind, however, that there is MaxPass available now for guests to make FASTPASS attraction selections from the Disneyland Mobile App.
    I hope this helps!
