We are planning a visit to Walt Disney World in 2020. We have had two fun visits to Disneyland. My son has autism and we have used DAS in Disneyland. Is the process the same in WDW? I’ve heard that not all rides are included?

    Hi Kracinda,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Walt Disney World Resort does offer a number of Services for Guests with Disabilities. In particular, you should review the Services for Guests with Cognitive Disabilities and, on that page, download the Guide for Guests with Cognitive Disabilities. There are break areas throughout the parks - check the guide to find those locations.

Disability Access Service is also available. To register, stop by Guest Services when you enter the first theme park during your visit. A cast member will work with you to determine if the Disability Access Service is best for your son. When we have used this service in the past, on one visit, we could not use it on all attractions, but it worked on the vast majority of them. On subsequent visits, we could use it on every attraction we hoped to experience. If your son is assigned the Disability Access Service, a cast member will connect you to his service. To use the service, you will need to approach a cast member at a ride and request a return time. When you return, your son (the person with the Disability Access Service) must scan in for the ride first and then everyone else connected to the Disability Access Service can scan in for the ride. You can use this service in addition to Fast Pass+!

Kracinda, if you have more specific questions, feel free to contact us again or contact a cast member in Disability Services directly at disability.services@disneyparks.com or 407-560-2547.

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
    Donyell
