Planning a visit in Sept and wanting to stay our first night at Pop Century, the next 5 nights we are booked at The Contemporary, Concierge level. Will they shuttle our bags from the Pop Century to the Contemporary or do we have to do this ourselves?

    Hi Shannon,

Switching hotels at Walt Disney World is a very common experience. Disney will be happy to help you move your luggage so that you won't have to miss a moment of fun at the parks.

    Here's how it works:

    - On the morning of your check out from the Pop, bring your luggage to the Bell Services Desk at the main entrance to the hotel. A cast member will tag your bags for transfer and give you a receipt.
    - You can go off to enjoy the attractions, dining, and recreation anywhere at Walt Disney World.
    - When you're done for the day, head over to the Contemporary to check in. Stop by the Bell Desk at the Contemporary, hand the cast member there your luggage receipt and tell them your room number. They'll bring the bags up to the room for you.

I have done this many times myself. It's worked perfectly every time.

One thing you should be aware of, bags will not usually show up at the second hotel (in your case, the Contemporary) until fairly late in the afternoon. You should make sure to keep anything that you will need during the day (medication, camera, etc.) with you when you drop the bags. Also, some people are hesitant to leave valuables with Bell Services. I have personally left laptops and iPads in my luggage at Bell Services dozens of times without incident. However, you should assess your own personal comfort level with this.

Good luck with your planning and please let us know if you need additional assistance.
