we are planning to visit 3 parks only..how many days would you suggest for stay? we are coming from michigan by plane. thanks

Hi Agnes! When asked this question in the past I have always recommended five days for a good Disney vacation.  That means one day in each park and one day to investigate places like Downtown Disney, Boardwalk, and the many different recreation options.

If you are only electing to visit three parks then be sure and save one day for each.  Add on at least one more day to revisit a park if you feel the need or to explore the locations mentioned above.  This does not include the arrival and departure days.  I never suggest too much on those days as traveling is stressful and long and you are apt to not get the most of wherever you go because you will be tired.

Disney is far more then just four parks.  It is a great place to explore and enjoy activities that relaxing and fun.  You can hire a fishing guide and catch the biggest bass ever on their lakes, or fly overhead while parasailing in Bay Lake!  The championship golf courses are fun and the two swimming parks are simply unbelievable!  Add to that all the great dining and shopping that can happen in Downtown Disney.  Check out the helium balloon ride as well as Disney Quest and Cirque Du Soleil.

So you see it is hard to tell a guest how many days to spend in the best vacation spot ever.  But plan on at least one day for each park and then add days for anything else you might want to enjoy!
