I am planning on 1st visit in Oct 08 w/husband,2 girls (3 & 11). We are planning on POR however, had some unexpected expenses w/family & we were thinking of staying at POP instead to save $. What is the main difference as far as room size.

The difference in square footage for standard rooms at these two resorts isn't much.  The Pop Century resort rooms are around 260 square feet while the Port Orleans Riverside resort rooms are around 314 square feet.  Granted, when you are traveling with children, every square inch of space counts.  Standard rooms at both resorts offer the same options as far as beds are concerned: two doubles or one king.  Both resorts offer bathrooms with separate vanity areas.  That is a nice feature that eases the morning dressing routine for families with children.

I hope that knowing the actual size of the rooms will help you in making a resort choice that suits your family in both accommodations and budget!
