I am planning a visit to DL at the end of October. I plan to stay on property at a Disney resort hotel. I also plan to rent a car. I am under the understanding that I will have to pay to park for each day at the hotel and/or the parks. Is this correct?

Hi there, Jennifer! I'm so excited that you plan to visit the Disneyland Resort this fall. Halloween Time is especially spook-tacular and all sorts of fun awaits you!

You are correct that parking for Guests at the three Disneyland Resort Hotels is provided for an extra fee. While prices are subject to change, self-parking is $20 per night, per vehicle, or valet parking is available for $30 per night per vehicle. You can leave your car parked at the hotel while you are at the parks - you won't have to move your vehicle or pay another fee. You are also allowed to stay parked at the hotel until midnight the day you check out if you plan to enjoy the parks that day.

If you are visiting just the Disneyland Resort area during your stay, then a car won't be necessary. The two theme parks, Downtown Disney District, and the Disneyland Resort Hotels are all within walking distance of one another. It is incredibly easy to get around on foot! You can take the Disneyland Resort Express, a taxi, Uber, or Lyft from the airport for a fee that will probably be less expensive than renting a car and paying for parking.

Since you'll be staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel, make sure to take advantage of your Extra Magic Hour benefit. This grants you entry one hour early to Disneyland Park on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, and Disney California Adventure Park on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

I hope you have a magical visit to the Disneyland Resort this October!
