We are planning to visit Disneyworld in February. Are the water parks open year round?

Hi Theresa!  Thanks for your question.  Yes, the water parks at Walt Disney World are open year round, with each of the two closing for refurbishment for a couple of months at separate times.  Generally, Disney's Typhoon Lagoon will close at the end of October until early January, at which point Disney's Blizzard Beach will close until early March.  There will always be at least one water park open at any given time.  However, keep in mind that if the temperatures drop too much, they will close the water parks for the day.  The good news is that all of the water at both parks is heated to a very toasty temperature, making a winter-time visit quite nice.  And don't forget your sunscreen - even though the outside air may be cooler, you can still get a nasty burn, even on overcast days!

Have fun planning your Walt Disney World vacation, and please write me back if you have any other questions.  Thanks again for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  Have a magical day!
