We are planning to visit Disneyland on Thurs 21st April but I'm confused with the opening times...according to the website, on this day, Disneyland is only open 9am until 9pm, however the 14minute fireworks are scheduled for 9pm...how does this work?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Michelle. Thanks for stopping by with your question.

Though Disneyland Park will be closing at 9pm on April 21st as listed on the schedule, the 9pm Disneyland Forever fireworks will be the last entertainment event of the night. The fireworks occur right after "Paint the Night" parade, which is scheduled at 8:15pm. This means that Guests who are already inside the park can enjoy these nighttime spectaculars even after closing.

The same holds true for California Adventure as well. For example, the schedule may lists the park closing time as 8pm while World of Color--Celebrate! is scheduled for 8:15pm. Guests who are already inside California Adventure prior to the 8pm close time will be able to enjoy the show even after the park officially closes.

I hope this information is helpful as you plan your upcoming trip to the Happiest Place on Earth, Michelle. Please visit me on the Panel again if you have further questions.

    Have a magical day,

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

I am a wife and mother to 2 children, a 14 year old daughter and 9 year old son. I have always enjoyed going to Disneyland Resort as a child and now that I am a mother, I love watching my children experience Disneyland Resort through their eyes. It is a true delight seeing my daughter wear a ball gown walking side by side with Cinderella or my son jumping gleefully after he defeated Darth Maul in a light saber duel! Learn More About Kiki
