Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Clare!

Victoria & Albert's is absolutely fabulous!  I'll admit I thought I'd feel out of place or that it would be too much for me as well. I didn't grow up with the most sophisticated palette in the world. But I went in with an open mind and willing to try all of the menu items because I knew that it doesn't consistently win a AAA Five Diamond Rating year after year for nothing.

The staff at Victoria & Albert's was super friendly. They explained every course and answered all of our questions. It was fun trying things I would have never tried otherwise. The presentation was impeccable and fun to watch.

I think that the Chef and Waitstaff are very professional and can see when Guests may not feel totally comfortable in the setting and will take that into account. They want everyone to walk away very happy from the experience. But I think you may want to do a little coaching ahead of time as well so that your son will go in with an open mind and a good attitude. Explain to him that this is something his sister would love and you want to give her the opportunity to experience it. Perhaps there is something at Disney he would like to choose you can all do as a family as well during your trip. Let him know that its more than just "eating at a fancy restaurant". You will have lots of interaction with the Waitstaff and get to try wonderful new foods. Its okay if he doesn't like them all but you'd like him to at least give them a try.

If you honestly feel that your son would not enjoy Victoria & Albert's, perhaps you can make it a special Mother/Daughter dinner and plan something different for him during that time.  Some of the Disney Resorts offer Childcare Services for ages 3 - 12.

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
