I am planning a vacation for our 2 year olds next month. We are staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge, and I am trying to plan out days at parks and dining now. Any major suggestions of places I definitely need to take the kids while there for 4 days.

    Hi Nancy!

Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is right around the corner!! Be honest, who is getting more excited - you or your kids? I'm taking my own 2-year-old next week and while he's been before, here's how we keep his toddler side entertained:

He's just now getting into characters, so we've booked at least one character FastPass+ reservation a day. Keep an eye out in your My Disney Experience Mobile App for any bonus meet & greets that happen throughout the day. Your app will even provide a GPS enabled map to make sure you're on the right path!

My little loves animals and luckily so does Disney. Your family can get up-close with some new friends at the Affection Section in Disney's Animal Kingdom. Another favorite is located in Epcot, in the same building as The Seas with Nemo and Friends. SeaBase has multiple saltwater tanks with everything from baby Nemo to manatees. Completely indoors and air conditioned, this is also a good place to wait while an adult cashes in on a Rider Switch pass.

We also like to let our child run or dance his wiggles out while one of us experiences a thrill ride. At Disney's Hollywood Studios we head to the Disney Junior Live on Stage show, where your kids can sing and dance with their favorite preschool pals. I forgo a FastPass+ reservation for Dumbo in Magic Kingdom Park and instead we wait for our turn to ride in the indoor play area. And we also stop at these play areas so everyone can take a break. Pro Tip: Bring a bathing suit and possibly a change of clothes to the Casey Junior Splash N Soak Station.

I hope you're getting even more excited, and We'll See You Real Soon Nancy!
