We are planning a vacation to WDW the end of January 2014. What would be a good value resort for girls ages 9 and 16? We have stayed already at All Star Movies about 10 years ago. Is it better to book through WDW or AAA? We are going on a tight budget.

Hi Sherri! Disney's value resorts are fun accommodations perfect for those on a tight budget! Since you've already tried one of the All-Star resorts, consider the Pop Century for your next trip. The theming would appeal to your older girls, and they'd love the pools and the arcade. Many people think the Everything Pop food court is one of the best at Walt Disney World! (The new Art of Animation Resort would be a fun choice too, but rates there run a little higher than those at the Pop Century.)

January is a great month to visit Walt Disney World when you're on a limited vacation budget. Because park attendance is often low during much of the month, the rates at the resorts are lower too, and Disney often offers bargain packages for visitors during this time period. Keep an eye on the Special Offers page of the Walt Disney World website so you'll know when these deals become available for next January. AAA offers extra perks for travelers booking packages such as a VIP parking pass, a Diamond Savings card, and a special Story Time experience with a Disney character that your 9-year-old would especially love.

Wishing a magical vacation! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We're always happy to help!
