We are planning a vacation to WD FL in 2011. I"m wondering if it is cheaper and easier to stay in a WD resort? We have 4 kids and 5 day passes with park hopper & water park is $1860.00. This is our first trip to WD and any help greatly appreciated

    Hi Diana,

As you mentioned, the tickets alone can add up to a lot when you are travel with a larger group.  Staying at a WDW resort has many advantages.  You get free shuttle service to your resort, you save $14 per day on parking, and you don't have to worry about traveling to and from WDW each day.  You also get to take advantage of extra magic hours, times when the parks are only open to resort guests.  Most importantly, the resorts are such an extensions of the parks you're immersed in the magic of WDW 24 hours a day.

You may want to check out the Fort Wilderness Resort cabins.  They accommodate up to 6 people and include a kitchen, living room, deck, and outside grill.  You can save a considerable amount of money by having breakfast and dinner in your own cabin and still be within the magic that is WDW.

    Have a great trip
