I am planning a vacation in May 2014. I will be bringing my three young adults with me and my hubby. 19, 21 and 23 yrs old. I am trying to decide if I should book a room on site and what the benefits are or should I stay off site.

    Hi Dana!

You will find that Walt Disney World has a wide variety of resorts to choose from that will fit any budget.  I do stay off property sometimes with my family, but I highly suggest picking a Walt Disney World resort to make your vacation even more magical.

There are a lot of perks to staying on site.  The first is complimentary transportation.  If you are arriving by plane, you can take advantage of using Magical Express.  This service will pick you up from the airport and take you right to your resort as well as deliver all of your luggage without the hassle of dragging it all over the airport.  You can also use the Disney buses to take you from your resort to any location around Walt Disney World.

FastPass+ and MagicBands are another huge perk of staying on site.  MagicBands are the newest technology and are pretty cool.  They are a bracelet that acts as your room key, park tickets and credit card.  It is so convenient to have all of your important cards right on your wrist.  This program allows you to choose your attractions and times ahead of time, so all you have to do is show up, scan your MagicBand and walk right on the ride without standing in line.

Extra Magic Hours are a resort guest only perk.  These are extra hours that the parks are open either before the park is open to the public or after the park closes.

I guarantee you that you won't find a more magical hotel stay elsewhere.  When you stay in a Walt Disney World resort, you know you're at home with Mickey and friends.  From the rooms to the pools and even the resort lobbies, no detail is left undone.  Now, which one to choose?

    Have a magical day!
