Hello, I am planning a vacation March 9-15 2019 for 7 . I want to know a better way to visit the parks to get the most out of our stay. This is our first visit and first vacation. So I want it to smooth and fun.

    Hi Alexis,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Hooray for your first visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. I am happy to see that you are planning early!

This is our park strategy for most of our park days - we make a pre-park opening breakfast reservation so that we are up, out and at a park early. We dine from 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. then do our Fast Pass+ selections from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon. We then eat lunch in the park and, if possible do one more attraction right after lunch. Before we leave the park, I make another Fast Pass+ for later in the evening.

We head back to the resort hotel by 2:00 p.m. We take a nap and/or relax by the pool. Then, we head back to the park for dinner. After dinner, we find a spot for the fireworks and after the fireworks, we do that last Fast Pass+ I reserved. Since the crowds are intense as people try to exit the parks after the fireworks, we prefer to do a Fast Pass+ during that time to give the crowds time to lessen.

As you make your plans, consider that after a few days of early rising, your crew might be exhausted. We always do one late day in the middle of our vacation to relax a bit. If we arrive on a Sunday for a six-night stay, I will plan our late day for Wednesday. We might do a 9:30 a.m. breakfast at the resort hotel then pool time and hit the parks by 2:00 p.m. Be sure to check the park hours. We avoid early morning Extra Magic Hours but will stay later when the park is open later.

Alexis, my final tip - be sure to make advanced dining reservations and Fast Pass+ selections. These are essential!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
