We our planning are vacation to Disneyland in May 2019 there will be 18 of us 9 adults and 9 children do you have any advise for such a large group. Thank you

Hello, Brian! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Traveling with a large group to the Disneyland Resort can be tons of fun, but does require a little extra planning. The last time I traveled with a multi-generational group, our plan was to start each day riding attractions we could all ride together, splitting up in the afternoon, and then coming back together for dinner each evening. For your Disneyland Park days, consider riding attractions like “it’s a small world,” Jungle Cruise, Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage, or Pirates of the Caribbean in the morning. These attractions can accommodate larger groups and do not have any height restrictions. For Disney California Adventure Park, try Soarin’ Around the World (for those 40” and taller), Golden Zephyr, and Monsters, Inc. Mike and Sulley to the Rescue!

In the afternoon, you might want to split up into smaller groups to ride attractions that have height requirements or see shows like Frozen – Live at the Hyperion. For lunch, try quick service options that offer Mobile Order on the Disneyland app because it will save you tons of time. Some people can save a few tables for your group while others retrieve your meals from the Mobile Order counter.

Finally, plan dinner reservations each night so the whole group can reconnect. Reservations will be a necessity for your group and can be made up to 60 days in advance online or by calling (714) 781-3463. For large groups, you will probably have more success finding availability by calling as each date of your trip reaches the 60-day mark.

I have more tips I can share including taking advantage of Disney MaxPass, so please stop by again with any other questions you may have!
